Vector electrocardiography offers unprecedented diagnostic dimensions. CardioSecur’s 4 electrodes create a tetrahedron of the thorax, making a 360o view of the heart possible.
Guidelines recommend including examination of the posterior wall of the heart when ischemia is suspected. CardioSecur is the only system that is compliant with this point of the guidelines.
The additional leads V7-V9 and VR3-VR9 offer, for the first time, the possibility to detect posterior wall infarctions on an ECG reading. As ischemic events can be detected electrophysiologically, infarcts classified as a non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) on a classic 12-lead ECG may now be classified by CardioSecur Pro’s 22 ECG leads as an ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). With CardioSecur’s 360o view, an NSTEMI becomes a STEMI.
CardioSecur Pro is a fully validated and approved class IIa medical device.
