DGK 2017

10. April 2017

From April 19th until April 22nd 2017, CardioSecur will be present at the Germany Society of Cardiology’s (DGK) 83rd annual conference in Mannheim. This year’s partner is the Finnish Society of Cardiology. 8,000 participants are expected who will exchange information about their latest research results and clinical developments from various cardiac specialties.

The theme of DGK this year is „Rhythm for Life.“ The current state of the art risk stratification for sudden cardiac death, as well as the technical advances that have been made regarding its prevention will be discussed. New mechanisms of arrhythmogenesis will be presented, as will the role of pluripotent stem cells (iPS) in diagnostics and potential therapies. An additional core topic is the interaction between “heart and brain, ” which is relevant for many cardiovascular diseases. Here, the interaction between sudden death and epilepsy, tako-tsubo cardiomyopathy, stroke and psychological distress will be presented. Together with the Germany Society of Pediatric Cardiology, an overview of the current state of sudden cardiac death in young people will be presented.

Come visit CardioSecur at the DGK at stand 416 on the Dorint level.
